Passaic County Clerk Announces 2nd Annual Hope Donation Drive - Collection Through Dec. 9th

Passaic County Clerk, Danielle Ireland-Imhof, is pleased to announce the second annual Passaic County Clerk’s Office H.O.P.E. (Help Other People Eat) Donation Drive supporting the United Passaic Organization (UPO) Food Pantry, located in Passaic, NJ. UPO was incorporated in 1997 by an interfaith group of clergy and laypeople, who wanted to improve the quality of life in Passaic by addressing issues of common concerns. UPO was declared a Community Action Agency as a soldier in the War on Poverty and over the years, the organization has developed a strong track record of effective service on behalf of the community’s residents. Through active advocacy, UPO is committed to eradicating poverty in the City of Passaic and the surrounding area. UPO partnered with Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church in the City of Passaic to provide a full-service food pantry, equipped with a community refrigerator and free Saturday meals from a food truck. Twice weekly, the food pantry is open to eligible clients.

The following list of non-perishable food items best serves the Food Pantry:

Dry beans Rice Tomato sauce

Gravy Canned vegetables Canned fruit

Canned salmon Canned tuna Stuffing

Pasta Cup of noodles Granola bars

Cereal Pancake mix Instant oatmeal

Syrup Baby food Baby formula

Individual juice packs Bottles of water

In addition to the specific list of non-perishable food items, gift cards to ShopRite, Stop & Shop, BJ’s, and Costco in any amount, can be donated as well. Donations can be dropped off at the Passaic County Clerk’s Offices in Paterson, 401 Grand Street, Room 130 and Wanaque, 1237 Ringwood Avenue, during regular business hours from through Friday, December 9, 2022.
