There's Never Been a Better Time to Adopt a Cat or Kitten From the Clifton Animal Shelter!

You may have heard the old saying that “It’s raining cats and dogs,” but at the Clifton Animal Shelter it’s actually raining cats and kittens. With kitten season in full swing, and some of the shelter’s long-term residents still waiting for their chance at a forever home, a recent hoarding situation rescue has the shelter filled to the brim.

What does that mean? It means that if you’ve toyed with the idea of bringing a new furry family member into your home, now might be the ideal time. Whether you like orange tabbies, tuxedo cats, sleek solid blacks, grey tiger stripes, or any other feline variety, chances are the Clifton Animal Shelter has exactly the cat you’ve been searching for.

There are plenty of sweet ’n cuddly kittens looking for a home, and in case you didn’t know it, adopting a pair of bonded siblings or a mom and one of her kittens will virtually guarantee you a lifetime of love of entertainment… times two! It’s better for indoor kittens to have another kitten or cat around to play with, snuggle, and groom; plus having a companion will help lessen loneliness for kittens and cats when you’re out of the house.

Can’t swing a full-time commitment right now? You may wish to consider being a foster mom to one, or even an entire litter of homeless kittens. You’ll get to enjoy the boundless energy, cute kitten snuggles, and adorable tiny meows of the kittens, while they grow bigger and stronger, as they wait for their permanent home. You can commit to just a couple of weeks, or longer, and the shelter supplies everything from food to litter to toys to all medical treatment. It’s what is known as a win-win for all.

If you don't have the time or room for fostering, you can still help out by making a donation, either monetary or by helping the shelter stock up on some of the supplies that are most needed. Check out the shelter wish list or visit the shelter website for a list of available cats and kittens looking for a new home.
