Clifton Little League celebrated 70 years of youth baseball in Clifton today, at its opening day for the Little League 2022 season at Mt. Prospect Park.
After the parade of teams and coaches lapped the fields and all the players and coaches were announced, League President, Lisa Valentine welcomed them saying it is “an honor to be a part of this league celebrating 7 decades playing the greatest sport.”
Valentine continued, saying the League was honored and proud to have its Challenger Division join the opening, which has been part of the League for over 30 years. The League describes the Challenger Division as "a baseball program for players with physical or intellectual challenges."
Valentine thanked the League Board of Directors, volunteers and parents sharing “you are assisting in creating memories that will last a lifetime.”
