Clifton's 100th Anniversary Time Capsule to Be Buried April 26, 2022
Clifton's 100th anniversary time capsule will be buried on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in front of City Hall.
The original burial was rescheduled twice due to the COVID pandemic, it was first scheduled on April 26, 2020 and then again on April 26, 2021.
The contents of the capsule include memorabilia from the city's 100th anniversary celebrations including flyers, brochures as well as a current map of the city in 2017 and documents from a variety of city events and fundraising efforts. It also includes awards and recognitions the city received, such as it's mention in Money Magazine in "Best Places to Live 2017."
The time capsule is meant to capture a moment in time in the city's history, similar to the last capsule that was buried in 1967 and opened at the city's 100th anniversary in 2017.
This latest time capsule will be opened again at the 150th anniversary of the City on April 26, 2067.
