The Power of One announced a series of free Stress Relief workshops for Clifton residents that can help gain an understanding of stress and how it manifests itself. Participants will learn how to identify the root causes of stress, and new ways to reduce it.

The workshop consists of a presentation, worksheets and ends with a basic meditation to leave participants feeling refreshed and empowered. Participants leave with take-home packets for additional reading and learning at their own pace.

The workshops are geared towards anyone struggling with a loss of purpose, unhappiness, loss, grief, and lack of joy. They are offered free to all participants, thanks to the donors and supporters of Power of One.

Power of One is a Clifton nonprofit organization that offers support services to the poor those struggling in the community, and has a ten-year history of running food, clothing and toy drives, community meals and other outreach programs. These stress relief workshops have been offered for over 7 years, and were held online during the pandemic.

Kim Castellano, the program Director said “Online support groups have been a great source of support for many people who needed someone to share their struggles with, but we felt it was time to get back in person. The benefits of in-person workshops are the new friendships that are made, and the lift in mood and depression by getting out of the house into the community. It can help everyone find connection and meaning again.”

Kim added she “…hopes people begin to feel comfortable to come out again and get in person help. We've asked Crisis Counselors to join us in the efforts.”
