More Snow Possible for Clifton This Weekend
Passaic County is expected to be hit with more snow this weekend; the forecast includes strong wind gusts. A hazardous weather outlook was posted for northern New Jersey by the National Weather Service that includes very cold air combined with strong winds producing wind chills of zero to 10 below Friday night into Saturday morning.
For Sunday, there is a chance of snow after 4pm with snow and sleet likely before 1am turning to rain and snow between 1am and 4am, then rain after 4am. New snow and sleet accumulation of 1 to 3 inches is possible for the Clifton area, parts of western Passaic County could get 6 to 8 inches of snow.
Snow totals could increase depending on the storms trajectory, stay tuned to weather updates to prepare. Residents are encouraged to stay off the road in snowy conditions and dress in layers when outdoors in cold temperatures under freezing conditions.
