Clifton Covid-19 Testing Locations Released as Cases Continue to Rise
As Covid-19 cases rise across the state and country, Covid tests are more in demand. More testing locations have opened and NJ state announced free at-home testing kits are now available for residents. Clifton residents can also request an at-home test through Passaic County here. President Biden announced an additional 500 million tests will be made available for Americans.
In just one weeks time, Omicron variant cases have increased from 3% across the country to over 70%. Experts are still unable to definitively say if this variant causes milder symptoms, but it has been shown to spread faster as cases double every 1 to 3 days.
However, experts do know those most at risk remain the unvaccinated and warn those without a vaccine booster may still become infected. Although initial studies show the first vaccine series still provides some protection from severe infection, those vaccinated with a booster have greater immune protection from the Omicron variant.
For those needing tests, the City Manager shared a list of Clifton testing locations.
