Governor Phil Murphy was projected the winner of a second term as NJ Governor late Wednesday, after much of the day was spent tracking the tight race with Republican challenger Jack Ciattarelli.

Currently, Governor Murphy leads Ciattarelli by over 23K votes, with mail-in and provisional ballots still being counted in parts of Essex county.

In another unexpectedly tight race, the Passaic County Commissioner Republican challengers are narrowly beating the 3 incumbent Democrat Commissioners, in a race that has yet to be called.

Currently, with 94% of districts reporting, Republican challenger Marsala is leading incumbent Lazzara by just 91 votes, with incumbents Bartlett and Akhter behind challengers between 1-2,000 votes.
