Marching Mustangs Take the Field for Homecoming and Band Night - Watch the Video

Image

On Friday, October 8th, the marching band celebrated an annual tradition of inviting students from Christopher Columbus and Woodrow Wilson middle schools to join them on the football field for Band Night. More than 120 middle schoolers filled in the giant M formed by the marching band to play "America the Beautiful," conducted by WWMS band director Anthony Lanzerotti.

The younger musicians also stepped in for the playing of the National Anthem, conducted by CCMS band director Timothy Hayward. I remember how thrilling this night was for my own son, now a senior in the marching band, and hope that last night's performance was the same for all of the participating middle schoolers. They are the future of The Showband of the Northeast!

Thank you to the many band alumni who showed up to cheer on the band last night; it was great to see all of you!

Whether you missed last night's show and need to catch up or just want to watch it again (and again), we've got you covered! Thanks to Romel Evangelista for capturing all of the band's performances for us.
