Clifton School's Superintendent Dr. Robertozzi announced yesterday that the anticipated reopen date for the school is Tuesday October, 12th.
He also provided an update on the cleanup progress. Electric breaker replacement are estimated to be complete today, Oct. 1st, and all smoke detector heads and fire alarm systems have been checked. Repainting in classroom closets is ongoing as well as replacing the front entrance walkway due to damage under the concrete. The boiler delivery and installation should be complete by October 7th.
Robertozzi thanked the district's maintenance staff who he said worked around the clock to repair the school to bring students back safely.
This is a great idea!!
This is a great idea. It might be late to get the necessary approvals from the city and recruit restaurants and other merchants for June, but it might be possible to plan for September when the evenings will still be light and warm enough. Or start planning for June 2023.
I think parking was an issue for some business owners. One owner I know asked where would all the people park, especially from out of town. I hope this happens. This would be fun
