Governor Murphy announced that all NJ school workers, in addition to some state employees, need to complete vaccination for COVID-10 by Oct. 18th or they will be required to do COVID-19 testing once or twice per week. For school workers, this includes preschools through Grade 12, and all part and full-time staff working for any public, private or parochial preschools and elementary and secondary schools including renaissance and charter schools.
For state employees this will include state agencies, authorities and state colleges and universities. Previously all workers in health care and high-risk settings including correctional facilities were also required to be fully vaccinated or subject to weekly testing.
