NJ Governor Phil Murphy announced Thursday a commitment to see early childhood education expand in NJ. The state will commit to providing universal pre-K to all families across the state over the next few years. A roadmap for pre-K expansion will be developed by the Department of Education.
This announcement comes after 5 years of expansion of NJ’s current state-funded full day pre-K for qualifying working parents throughout the state. To date, Murphy has released state funding to 140 school districts for either a new high-quality preschool program or to expand their existing program, opening preschool to over 9,000 children state wide.

This is a great idea. It might be late to get the necessary approvals from the city and recruit restaurants and other merchants for June, but it might be possible to plan for September when the evenings will still be light and warm enough. Or start planning for June 2023.
I think parking was an issue for some business owners. One owner I know asked where would all the people park, especially from out of town. I hope this happens. This would be fun
