What’s Happening This Week in Clifton Public Schools
Welcome to another week back, Clifton. Kicking it off, the entire district will have an S/C day on Monday the 5th, meaning all schools will be dismissed about 15 minutes earlier than usual to accommodate staff and faculty meetings. For the S/C day schedule, click here.
On the same day, the Christopher Columbus Middle School Home and School Association, or HSA, will be holding a virtual meeting at 6:30 p.m. The link will be sent out to families on Monday morning. Every Clifton public school has its own HSA or PTO and they are great ways to stay informed on activities and receive important information involving the school, especially when it comes to getting involved in fundraisers, field trips, and more.
Also on the 5th, the Clifton Public Main Memorial Library will be having a Story and Craft event for Valentine’s Day where children aged three and up are invited to celebrate the holiday with a reading of “The Valentine’s Day Booger” by author Marie Bradley and create their own Valentine’s Day cards.
Both middle schools, Christopher Columbus and Woodrow Wilson, will have an early dismissal on Tuesday the 6th for parent conferences with Clifton High School getting a half day on Wednesday for the same reason. Reference the link above for the early dismissal schedule.
On Thursday, there will be a Board of Education meeting at 7:00 p.m. in the basement of the Board of Education building at 745 Clifton Avenue. Like all of these meetings, the Superintendent and the Clifton Board of Education will discuss various issues facing the district and will hold a commentary portion for anyone interested in posing a question or worry concerning Clifton Public Schools. You can click this link to watch from home.
Clifton Public Main Memorial Library is offering homework help starting now through June 5th for students in first grade through fourth on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Due to limited space, make sure to register online after noon on the day you wish to attend.
Have an amazing week, Clifton!
