Still Time to Have Someone Pied for a Great Cause

Clifton High School's Key Club, a service-oriented organization whose goal is to encourage leadership through serving others, is hosting another annual Pie in the Face contest to benefit Ocean of Love. Ocean of Love is a non-profit which provides direct aid to children with cancer and their families.

Jacqueline Turk, an English teacher at CHS and Key Club advisor, said that they chose this charity because it was such an important support for her own family when young cousin Nicholas was diagnosed with leukemia. "Ocean of Love helped my family so much. They provided gift cards to Shop Rite, co-pays for medical visits, medical and legal resources/information, helped with the Make-a-Wish application that granted him a camper, and even a week at a beach house."

"It is a stellar charity; I know that every penny directly helps the families they serve," she added.

When you donate to this fundraiser, all proceeds go to Ocean of Love...but that's not all! Your donation is also a vote for someone to "win" a pie in the face. For an additional $5 donation, you will be entered in a raffle to be the person throwing the pie! (This option is for CHS staff and students only.)

Start tallying your grievances and prepare to send a pie to the most deserving person (or people) on the list! The person from each category who brings in the most money will be pied...right in the face. The current leaders are shown in the cover photo. There is still time to change the results, though - here are the categories and participants:
