What’s Happening This Week in Clifton Public Schools

To begin the week, Monday the 8th will be a district-wide S/C day which means that students will be released fifteen minutes earlier than usual to accommodate school faculty and staff meetings. The school schedules can be found on the district website here.

Also on Monday, the Christopher Columbus Middle School Home and School Association, or HSA, will be holding a virtual meeting at 6:30 p.m. The link to join will be sent out to families on Monday morning. Every Clifton public school has its own HSA or PTO and they are great ways to stay informed on activities and receive important information involving the school, especially when it comes to getting involved in fundraisers, field trips, and more.

The School Nine Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) will be having a virtual meeting on Tuesday the 9th from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The PTO is dedicated to enhancing the school experience for both students and guardians by improving communication between home and school, fundraising for enrichment programs and field trips, and keeping families updated on every detail regarding School Nine. For more information on how to become a member and attend meetings check out their website here.

On Sunday the 14th, School Two’s HSA will be hosting a Pocketbook Bingo event from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the school’s gym where all participants will have the opportunity to play games and win prizes accordingly. To attend, one must be over twenty-one years of age and buy a ticket for either $35 at the door or $30 online. Admission includes one pack of bingo cards with three boards per round and additional boards being available for purchase. Email school2hsaclifton@gmail.com for more information.

Winter sports season has kicked off at Clifton High School with sports such as girls' and boys' basketball, wrestling, hockey, swimming, and indoor track all having games, matches, and meets throughout the next few months. These events will be held at various times and locations so for more information; see the full athletic schedule at CHS Athletic Event Calendar. Any inquiries or questions can be directed to the high school’s Athletic Director, Mr. Mullahey, at TMullahey@cliftonschools.net.
