Passaic County Clerk Announces H.O.P.E. Donation Drive

– Passaic County Clerk, Danielle Ireland-Imhof, announces the third annual H.O.P.E. (Help Other People Eat) Donation Drive, supporting the Catholic Charities Father English Food Pantry in Paterson, N.J. The Father English Food Pantry provides 300 to 400 bags of food daily, feeding more than 5,000 people each month. The pantry stocks diet-specific items to address the client's health needs. Clients can shop the shelves for the items they need most and as often as they need. Many leave with enough food to feed their family for one week.

The following list of non-perishable food items best serves the Food Pantry:

Cereal (hot and cold)

Canned vegetables

Canned/ bagged beans

Pancake mix & syrup

Peanut butter

Jelly

Flour

Sugar

Hot cocoa

Coffee

Rice

Snacks

Tea

Mashed potatoes

Canned tuna

Canned chicken

Canned spam

Canned corned beef

Juice (regular and powder mix)

Iced Tea

Water

Canned soup

Pasta

Pasta sauce

Spices

Ketchup

Mayonnaise

Mustard

Vegetarian selections

Gluten-free selections

In addition to the specific list of non-perishable food items, gift cards to Stop & Shop, ShopRite, Costco, and BJ’s, in any amount, can be donated as well.

Donations can be dropped off at the Passaic County Clerk’s Offices in Paterson, 401 Grand Street, Room 130, and Wanaque, 1237 Ringwood Avenue, during regular business hours through Friday, December 15, 2023.
