FREE WORKSHOP ON FILM PRODUCTION AND SOUND FOR FILMMAKERS

(Passaic County, New Jersey) – The Passaic County Board of County Commissioners and the Passaic County Film Commission are sponsoring a free workshop on short film production and sound for high school, college students, and independent filmmakers. The workshop runs from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at the PCCC Public Safety Academy, 300 Oldham Road, Wayne, NJ, Auditorium.

The workshop will feature the basics of short film sound production and will be taught by Film Commission members with an extensive background in the film industry.

Topics include proper use of sound equipment and techniques; choice and management of locations to ensure the best sound quality and post-production editing basics.

The workshop will provide a review of the rules and regulations for the Passaic County Film Festival, which will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024. Film entries for the festival must be received by January 30, 2024.

The Passaic County Film Commission encourages entrants to the festival to attend the workshop. Those who do not attend the workshop may still enter films.
