To begin the new week, Monday will be an S/C day for the district, meaning that each school will be dismissed fifteen minutes earlier than usual to accommodate the monthly staff and faculty meeting.
Thursday will be a half-day to accommodate the monthly AchieveNJ program, which observes, instructs, and evaluates teachers in order to improve student learning. Click here to view the bell schedules/when students will be dismissed for the elementary and middle schools and the high school.
On the same day (the 19th), there will be the monthly Board of Education meeting, which will take place at 7:00 p.m. in the basement of the Board of Education building at 745 Clifton Avenue. Along with the Superintendent and the Clifton Board of Education discussing various issues regarding the school district, there will be a commentary portion for anyone interested in posing a question or concern to the Board.
Friday the 20th will be another home game at the Clifton Stadium at 7 p.m. against Union City. If the Mustangs do not win this game, it will be the last game of the season, so wish them luck! In addition, the CHS Marching Band will be performing their pre-game performance and a brand new half-time show centered around famous movies of the past and present. Tickets can be purchased at the gate for varying prices depending on age and whether or not you are a student at CHS (bring student ID if so), however, they should not exceed $7.
Don’t forget to check out the wide array of sports available at the high school such as girls' tennis, boys' and girls' soccer, girls' volleyball, and track, which will all be having games, matches, and meets throughout the week. You can view the full athletic schedule at the CHS Athletic Event Calendar for more information regarding times and locations.
Enjoy your week Clifton Public Schools!
