What’s Happening This Week in Clifton Public Schools

Starting off the week strong on Monday, October 9th, there will be a district-wide half-day for Christopher Columbus Day. To view the bell schedules/when students will be dismissed for the elementary and middle schools and the high school, click here.

Tuesday will be the high school’s fall Open House at 6 p.m. for any potential students to visit and get an idea of the multitude of clubs, classes, sports, and activities that make Clifton High School the best school for all Clifton High Schoolers.

On Wednesday, the high school will be holding its annual PSAT testing days for all sophomores and juniors. Despite the results being for personal use only and will not affect students’ grades or placement in any way, it is a good practice for the SAT, which many students will take as part of their preparations for college applications. Wednesday will be a half-day and freshmen are still required to attend school in which they will have a normal school day. Seniors, however, have been asked to stay home to create a quieter, less crowded environment for the underclassmen as they have already been tested in past years.

Friday the 13th will be a home game at the Clifton Stadium at 7 p.m. with the Mustangs facing off against the Northern Highlands. In addition, this game will also be when the Homecoming King and Queen for Clifton will be announced. As always, the CHS Marching Band will be providing entertainment throughout the game and during halftime. Don’t miss it! Tickets can be purchased at the door for varying prices depending on age and whether or not you are a student at CHS (bring student ID if so), however, they should not exceed $7.

While football is often the main event of the fall season, don’t forget to check out the variety of sports offered by the high school such as girls' tennis, boys' and girls' soccer, girls' volleyball, and track, which will all be having games, matches, and meets throughout the week. You can view the full athletic schedule at the CHS Athletic Event Calendar for more information regarding times and locations.

Have a great week, Clifton Public Schools!
