Happy first week of October, Clifton schools! Although it may be a fairly uneventful week, there are still several important notices to be heard. Bringing in the new month, Monday, October 2nd, will be a district-wide S/C day. This means that each school will be dismissed fifteen minutes earlier than usual to accommodate staff and faculty meetings. On Wednesday, the high school will begin holding its annual yearbook picture days, starting with the freshmen who will be called down during their gym period to take photos. Similarly, sophomores will have their photos taken on Thursday and juniors on Friday. Seniors have separately scheduled photos made by appointment that have and will continue to take place throughout the fall.
On October 7th the Board of Education will meet for their regularly scheduled meeting at 7:00 p.m. in the basement of the Board of Education building at 745 Clifton Avenue. Here, the Superintendent and the Clifton Board of Education will discuss various issues regarding the school district. They will also listen to Clifton residents and staff who may pose questions or raise concerns during the open commentary portion of the evening.
Don’t forget that there is always a game, match, or meet to catch from the high school’s many fall sports. Throughout the week girls' tennis, boys' and girls' soccer, girls' volleyball, and track will all have events occurring at varying times and locations so be sure to view the full athletic schedule at the CHS Athletic Event Calendar.
Have a great week, Clifton Public Schools!
