What’s Happening This Week in Clifton Public Schools

Following the scorching-hot start to the new school year, Clifton schools will return for their first full week of school with full days! This means that schools will return to regular whole days after last week’s half-day schedule due to the excessive heat. To check the bell schedules for the elementary and middle schools and the high school, click here.

Monday will be an S/C day for the high school and middle schools, meaning that each school will be dismissed fifteen minutes earlier than usual to accommodate the monthly staff and faculty meeting.

As the school year begins to kick into gear, make sure to check out the posted supply lists for elementary schools 3, 5, 8, 11, 12, 14, and 16.

Although the majority of the first week back is void of many activities as students, teachers, and parents adjust to the new year, Friday will be an exciting finale to the week with Clifton High School’s football team, the Mustangs, hosting their first home game of the season. The game will be held at the Clifton Stadium at 7 p.m. against Eastside. Tickets can be purchased at the door for varying prices depending on age and whether or not you are a student at CHS (bring student ID if so). Tickets should not exceed $7.

CHS’s fall sports season has kicked off with other sports too, such as girls' tennis, boys' and girls' soccer, girls' volleyball, and track also having games, matches, and meets throughout the week. These events will be held at various times and locations so for more information; the full athletic schedule can be accessed at CHS Athletic Event Calendar. Any inquiries or questions can be directed to the high school’s Athletic Director, Mr. Mullahey, at TMullahey@cliftonschools.net.

Enjoy the first full week back, Clifton Public Schools!
