Clifton has a wonderful way to observe the end of the summer season with a yummy day of food, fun and music, all for a cause!
On Sunday, September 3rd from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, the Annual Food Truck and Music Festival will take place at Clifton City Hall. Admission is $5 per person and children 36 inches and under are free. The event is sponsored by the Clifton Veteran’s Committee and Clifton Arts Council. Proceeds will benefit the Clifton’s Veteran’s Parade and Art in the Park programs.
Once you’ve paid your entrance fees, there will be a variety of food truck options from which to purchase some delicious treats. Adult beverages will be available, including both domestic and craft beers (bring your ID!). Children’s options are of course available and families are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets for a day of eating, dancing, and shopping.
The following food trucks are scheduled to serve:
Angry Archie’s – Lobster rolls, crab cake sandwiches, lobster mac & cheese and more!
Authentic BBQ – What else…mouth waterin’ barbecue and sides!
Catlike Reflexes – Sliders, flavored tornado potatoes, loaded fries, pulled meat, and of course, more sides!
Culcha Caribbean – Authentic Caribbean and Jamaican food, including patties, wings, and unique drinks.
Dot’s Dogs and Catering – Food that makes you think you’re back at the carnival or strolling the boardwalk – sausage & peppers, nachos, hot dogs, and more.
Empanada Lady – The very best authentic empanadas!
Harry’s Li’l Kitchen – Jersey-Puerto Rico fusion food, unique and tasty with a Caribbean flair.
Latin Bites – Puerto Rican-Cuban flair, spicy and delicious!
Palma’s Catering – Latin-Caribbean combos, different from the others.
Uncle Louie G Italian Ice and Ice Cream – What better way to end the day?
What celebration is complete without music, shopping, and dancing? There will be a large variety of vendors with arts and crafts for purchase, kid-friendly entertainment and activities, and some great live bands that will have you grabbing your partner for some lively dancing – after all, you’ll have to burn off all those calories! Performers include La Cabinera, Alternate Groove, and of course, Swingman and the Misfit Mutts.
Tickets are available the day of the event or you can purchase in advance through the Clifton Recreation Department. Parking is free, and no pets are permitted. The Clifton Times looks forward to seeing you there!
