On June 26, 2023, County Clerk Danielle Ireland-Imhof along with the County’s election offices hosted Planning for the Unexpected: Emergency Training for Municipal Clerks. The workshop was led by Mr. Michael Randisi, Cybersecurity/Election Security Coordinator for the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness, and members of his team.
The training provided Passaic County municipal clerks and their staffs with interactive activities focused on protocols to keep elections processes secure during emergencies. Topics included alternate site arrangements, emergency procedures, election electronic information, and whom to contact in urgent situations.
“Being prepared for any situation, but especially in an emergency, gives professionals added confidence to do his or her job well” said County Clerk Danielle Ireland-Imhof. “Mr. Randisi and his team equipped our municipal clerks with the tools to further enhance their emergency preparedness to ensure we keep our elections processes safe and secure for voters and election workers”.
The Passaic County Election Offices are grateful for the opportunity to partner with Mr. Randisi and his staff and remain committed to offering future workshops to support Passaic County’s municipal clerks.
