What’s Happening This Week in Clifton Public Schools

For what will surely be the highlight of many Clifton residents’ weeks, Clifton Public Schools will be closed on Monday, May 29th for Memorial Day. All schools will return to regular schedules on Tuesday the 30th.

On Tuesday, May 30th, Clifton High School will be hosting an open house from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. All members of the community, especially potential Clifton High students like current middle schoolers, are invited to the school’s auditorium to learn about the various and diverse opportunities, courses, clubs, and extracurricular activities available at CHS. Currently, the high school offers seventeen AP courses, multiple academies including STEM, twenty-eight sports, over sixty clubs, and chances to earn credits from local colleges such as Montclair or Felician.

Woodrow Wilson Middle School will be holding its own car wash on Saturday, June 3 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the school’s parking lot to fundraise for the WWMS and CCMS dance teams. Cars will be $5 and SUVs will be $7. To view the flier, you can click here.

Over the summer, Clifton High School will be hosting several sports camps for children of varying ages and skill levels. For more information regarding camp hours, dates, and registration, you can view these fliers: soccer, lacrosse, basketball, esports, and football.

Don’t forget to sign up for the Clifton Public School preschool program if you have or know a child planning to attend preschool in the fall. The program operates on a first come first served basis so be sure to register soon and keep in mind that to be eligible, you must be a Clifton resident and your child must be three or four years old by October 1, 2024. For more information regarding prices, hours, and requirements, you can visit the Clifton Public Schools Pre-School Registration Services page.
