Meet Chester! This handsome mustachioed male is just a year young and like many adolescents is looking for a home where he can play video games and hang out with you on your couch! Chester is a brown and white tiger-striped cat currently at the Clifton Animal Shelter, is neutered and is up to date on vaccines. Check out his video HERE.
Chester was found as a stray wandering around outside on Easter weekend. A kind family took him in for a week, hoping that someone would recognize him and they could reunite him with his people. Sadly, it is now almost a month later and no one has been looking for this handsome boy. As he came to the shelter already neutered and not ear tipped, the shelter believes that he must have belonged to someone. Because he wasn't microchipped, there was no way of tracking down his former family. The statistics show that only 2% of lost cats that enter shelters are returned, but this rate goes up if a cat is microchipped and has a visible collar and tag. Chester is an active boy with an affectionate personality who would prefer to be king of the castle without other cats. The people who found him said he was well-behaved and loved to sit on their laps while they played video games. Chester would do best in a calm environment, where he can be a couch potato and ham it up with you. If you’re looking for a chill cat, who just wants to hang out and has an affectionate personality, Chester may be perfect for you.

The shelter does this to ensure that the environment is calm and conducive to having potential adopters get a good sense of the personality of the companion animal, and so they aren’t subjecting them to unnecessary stress.
