What’s Happening This Week in Clifton Public Schools

Welcome back, Clifton Schools! Following the April 10th through the 14th Spring Break, students will be returning to school on Monday, April 17th. The upcoming week will be the last week before the end of the third marking period, meaning grades for all classes should be finalized by the end of the week with report cards set to release on Wednesday, April 26th.

The first Monday back, April 17th, will be an S/C day for the entire district. This means that at each school, the school day will end fifteen minutes earlier than the usual release time. S/C days are scheduled throughout the school calendar to accommodate department meetings for teachers and staff.

Woodrow Wilson Middle School will be hosting a Family Math Night in the cafeteria from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19th. This event encourages students and their families to work together to solve exciting and engaging math-related activities and problems. For more information, you can view this flier created by WWMS with more details.

On the 18th and 19th, School Nine will be hosting a Book Fair for students to purchase age-appropriate books and/or other child-friendly knick-knacks such as invisible pens or erasers. Each class will have a chance to visit the Book Fair with their teacher. If a student is unable to participate on either of these days, there will be a makeup day for all students on the 20th.

Ending off the week, all schools will be closed on Friday the 21st for the Muslim holiday, Eid Al-Fitr, which commemorates the end of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.

All throughout the week and weekend you can support CHS’s athletic department by attending one or two of the many sporting events occurring this week. There will be various matches, meets, and games for sports such as baseball, Girls’ and Boys’ lacrosse, outdoor track, tennis, and softball. For more information about days, times, and locations, you can view the Clifton High athletic schedule at CHS Athletic Event Calendar. For further questions concerning the high school’s athletic department, you can contact the school’s Athletic Director at TMullahey@cliftonschools.net
