Clifton Times Pet(s) of the Week - Meet the Dane-X Litter!

Image

Meet the Dane-Xs! This unexpected litter of five Great Dane mixes is only nine weeks old and the puppies are looking for fosters or adopters through Rosemarie's Rescue Ranch. All of the pups are male, are fully vaccinated, and they’re expected to be quite large (between 75 and 100lbs) based on their huge paws! Dad is a purebred Great Dane and Mom is a Black Labrador/Pittie Mix. They are from a local family who did not spay/neuter their pets and now find themselves unable to care for the puppies. They are all local and will be available to be fostered or fostered-to-adopt beginning today, on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 in the afternoon.  Please fill out the application referencing the numbers on the photos below, for the puppy of your choice.

These pups are a great reminder of why it is so important to spay/neuter your pets. All it takes is one slip-up, and you can end up with puppies who are going to need homes, veterinary care, and other supplies. Luckily Rosemarie’s Rescue Ranch is ready to provide all of that to the foster families, along with a liaison to help smooth their transition into your home. Spaying female dogs is also important for their health - unspayed dogs are at risk for pyometra and mammary tumors, as well as other conditions. Spaying and neutering reduces health issues, can help with behavioral issues, and allows dogs to live longer and healthier lives.  The Dane-Xs will be eligible for NJ's low-cost spay/neuter program.

These pups had a “ruff” start, being the products of an accidental litter, but they are ready for their brighter tomorrow with you, and promise to bring you lots of joy, belly rubs, and snuggles.

If you think that one or more of these big breed puppies might be a good fit for your family, Rosemarie’s Rescue Ranch Foster-to-Adopt Option is a great way to experience adding a new family member, without making a lifetime commitment first. The minimum commitment is just two weeks. Fosters always get first dibs to adopt within these two weeks but are not required to. All supplies, including a loaner crate, harness, food, etc. are provided by the rescue, along with 24/7 support from a personal liaison who can help you with any questions you might have as you adjust to one another. No pressure, no second thoughts, the Foster-to-Adopt Option allows you to just enjoy your time together and see if the chemistry is right and if this pet is a fit for your family. The Clifton Times did a feature on Rosemarie's Rescue Ranch and their founder Susan Janett, and their foster-to-adopt program, with more details.

All applications can be found at www.rosemariesrescueranch.com. Just identify (by number) which of the puppies you are interested in, and the rescue will contact you to process your application.  You can also donate to Rosemarie’s Rescue Ranch to help vet, transport, and support these lovely puppies and others as they get a second chance at life.
