The Clifton Times Pet(s) of the Week: Meet Moo Moo and Marbles!
Meet Moo Moo and Marbles! They are currently at the Clifton Animal Shelter and are two perfect bookends that will make your home even more cozy. These handsome brothers are about 1.5 years old, neutered and up to date on vaccines. All they need now is a home to call their own. Check out their video introduction here!
Moo Moo and Marbles didn’t have the best start to life. They came to the shelter from a home where they lived with 33 other cats and just one owner. It was stressful for them to be in a home with so many animals and so little care.
The rescue was another stressful experience for them, as the Clifton Animal Shelter staff had to remove all 33 cats from their home, and make sure everyone was spayed/neutered and vaccinated. Moo Moo and Marbles were moved into a foster home to decompress and did great there. They had to come back to the shelter to be seen for adoptions and are a little stressed being in a cage, after having enjoyed the comforts of a home after their rescue. The Clifton Animal Shelter staff believe that they would thrive going back into a home and enjoying the room to move that they don’t have in a cage at the shelter.
Moo Moo is a bit more laid back, accepting pets and handling. Marbles is a bit more on guard but has shown such improvement - he loves getting treats, eats Churro snacks from staff and volunteers’ hands, and has been working on accepting pets and handling. The shelter staff are so proud of the progress and trust they are showing but would love them to be in a home blossoming each and every day instead of in a cage waiting for their new beginning.
If you are able to give Moo Moo and Marbles the fresh start they deserve, please fill out the adoption application at the Clifton Animal Shelter and someone will contact you to discuss and answer any questions that you may have and to set up a time to come in to meet them. The shelter does this to ensure that the environment is calm and conducive to having potential adopters get a good sense of the personality of the companion animal, and so they aren’t subjecting them to unnecessary stress.
You can also support the Clifton Animal Shelter by donating via their PayPal link or by donating supplies to them from their wishlists (Chewy or Amazon). And please stop by their bake sale this Saturday (April 8th) at the Senior Center for a sweet treat!
Please consider adding Moo Moo and Marbles to your home! The shelter has many wonderful cats and kittens in need of homes, ready to bring lots of love and joy to your home. Check out their page on Petfinder to see their sweet faces.
