City Hall, at 900 Clifton Avenue, is home to thousands of American flags honoring Clifton veterans several times a year, set up and taken down by a group of devoted volunteers. It also hosts many other special flags throughout the year on either side of, and slightly lower than, the American flag. At their February 7th meeting the City Council approved a resolution that allows for these special flag raisings and ceremonies to occur on any day of the week between the hours of 10 am and 6 pm.
The process for requesting a flag-raising ceremony is simple - email the City Clerk, Nancy Ferrigno, and tell her which flag you'd like to see raised and on which date you'd like it to happen. You can also write to her via snail mail at City Hall, 900 Clifton Avenue.
