The Clifton Times Pet Of The Week: Meet Buddy!

Image

Meet Buddy! He is currently being fostered by Rosemarie's Rescue Ranch and is a long, lanky, goofball looking for his forever home. Buddy is a perfect family dog because he gets along with everyone. He is two years old, neutered, and weighs about 80 lbs, and will likely stay that weight. Buddy is a lover and not a fighter - he shows no signs of aggression and loves to make friends with everyone he meets! Because of this, Rosemarie’s Rescue Ranch believes he will accept cats, but should be tested. He loves other dogs and people of all sizes, but he is a big dog, so Rosemarie’s Rescue Ranch would prefer to place him in a home with children over six years of age, for that reason alone. He's good in the car, walks well on the leash, is easy to train, and is completely housebroken, vaccinated, and healthy. He is an easy dog to fit into any family, despite his sad start in life.

Buddy came to Rosemarie’s Rescue Ranch after he was found locked up in a crate with absolutely nothing. No food, no water, no toys, for five days...but he doesn’t hold it against people. Buddy is being fostered by a dog behaviorist with a lot of experience with dogs, who feels that the family who ends up with Buddy will be very lucky. Despite all he's been through he is an affectionate, loving, people-pleasing dog who charms everyone he meets.

Buddy is an energetic, curious, and adventurous boy who is smart and quick to learn commands like "sit" and "come." All he needs now is an active family with time and energy and tons of love who will never leave him. Come and meet Buddy - he's so fun and loveable he'll steal your heart, and you might be the happy ending that he deserves. For more on Buddy, check out his profile and a video here.

If you think that Buddy might be a good fit for your family, Rosemarie’s Rescue Ranch has a Foster-to-Adopt Option that is a great way to experience adding a new family member, without making a lifetime commitment first. The minimum commitment is just two weeks. Fosters always get first dibs to adopt within these two weeks but are not required to. All supplies, including a loaner crate, harness, food, etc are provided by the rescue, along with 24/7 support from a personal liaison who can help you with any questions you might have as you adjust to one another. No pressure, no second thoughts, the Foster to Adopt Option allows you to just enjoy your time together and see if the chemistry is right and if this pet is a fit for your family. The Clifton Times did a feature on Rosemarie's Rescue Ranch and their founder Susan Janett, and their foster-to-adopt program, with more details.

All applications can be found HERE. You can also donate to Rosemarie’s Rescue Ranch to help vet, transport, and support lovely dogs like Buddy as they get a second chance at life.
