Around Valentine’s Day, we’re all present to the love we have in our lives. We wanted to honor the loving relationships many of us have to our companion animals. The relationships we develop as we care for our companions are so special, and we wanted to share some local love stories of Clifton’s pets.
Joanne Ross and Jasper
Joanne and Joe Ross adopted Jasper from the Clifton Animal Shelter in September 2012. He was quite skinny and very sad. He quickly adapted to life, getting plenty of good food, treats and lots of walks. He loves helping Joe in the garden and has welcomed each new grandchild that has arrived along the way with lots of sniffs and licks (if he can get away with it). Jasper has recently lost his vision due to a genetic condition and doesn't seem to hear as well as he used to, but he doesn't let that stop him. He still enjoys his walks and treats. He has no problem navigating around the house and yard. The Ross family tells us they loved their skinny little dog when they got him and still love their little old man dog just as much as the day he came home.
We hope that you will consider adopting some of the beautiful pets at our local shelters to add more love and joy to your homes this Valentine's Day week!
