Raina Mistry is a sophomore at Clifton High School and is the first of our student artists to be featured in The Clifton Times.
Raina says that her art teacher, Mrs. Fox, has influenced her the most this year. She has been creating art since she was little and it has been an important part of her ever since.
Of this image, created to honor Black History Month, she said, "I used digital art which is an easier approach to creating cartoons and designs. My friends helped me come up with design. I knew I wanted to create an African American character that had amazing features like the hair I created for the character. I also knew that I wanted to use the Black History Month colors aka the red, yellow, and green which compliment the cartoon well."
Thank you for sharing your talents with us, Raina!
