Ryan Liszner, a Class of 2023 kicker at CHS in Clifton, NJ, attended the 2022 Kicking World invite-only National Showcase in Austin, Texas earlier this month. Ryan was one of only 85 kickers from across the US accepted into the 2-day showcase. The showcase is designed to help recognize high school football player ability and gain exposure to college coaches nationwide.

Ryan finished consistently in the top 10 on most of the 6 events after 2 days, which according to the program, “solidifies his ability as one of the nation’s best kickers”.

On Day 1 of the program Ryan was deemed “the dominant kickoff force.” He was the Day 1 overall kickoff winner and on Day 2 he finished #2 overall in the elimination event.

“Being a NJ native myself, it was refreshing to see Ryan bring that ‘Jersey intensity’ with him to Texas for the weekend. Ryan undoubtedly has one of the biggest kickoff legs in the country for any current high school kicker, and shows he has what it takes metric wise to start at the highest collegiate level,” said Brent Grablachoff, Owner & Coach of Kicking World who runs the national showcase.

Coach Grablachoff continued, “Since the event he’s already pulled in a D1 and D2 scholarship offer and I’ll be working hard to uncover more opportunities and land a home that feels like the right fit for him.”

This was the 9th installment of the Kicking World National Showcase, in its 15-year camp history. This year’s invite-only showcase included 74 participants from 25 states. The 74 young men were among a select group of only 85 high school students hand-picked to earn an invitation based on their performances amongst the over 1,200 students evaluated during the 2022 camp season, putting them in the top 7% of HS kickers and punters from across the country.
