Four Stockton University student-athletes received NJAC weekly awards for the week of October 10-16. Freshman Kate Louer of Cilfton was selected NJAC Rookie of the Week in volleyball for the third straight week and fourth overall this season.

Senior Haley GreenĀ  joined Louer as a volleyball honoree as she received her first career NJAC Player of the Week nod.

The Ospreys collected a pair of cross country honors as senior Cooper KnorrĀ  of Manalapan earned NJAC Runner of the Week for men's cross country while Kayla Kass of Bayonne was selected NJAC Rookie of the Week in women's cross country for the second time.

Green led the Ospreys to a perfect 4-0 week with 53 kills and a .271 hitting percentage. In addition, Green scooped 16 digs and had four blocks. For the season, the senior leads the NJAC in kills (3.84 k/s) and is second with a .300 hitting percentage and 4.09 points per set. Green has hit doubles figures in kills in 17 of her 20 matches played.

Louer finished second on the team behind Green with 50 kills and had 21 digs to go with five aces and five blocks. In the NJAC, the rookie is fifth in kills (3.10 k/s) and sixth in points at 3.65 per set average. Louer has reached double digits in kills in 16 of her 21 matches this season.

Kass, who was one of three freshmen among Stockton's five scoring runners, placed 49th out of 308 competitors at the Interregional Border Battle hosted by Rowan University on Saturday. Her time of 23:42.9 for six kilometers helped Stockton place seventh out of 35 teams at the meet.

Knorr continued his strong season for the Stockton men's team by finishing 10th out of 309 competitors with a time of 25:08.8 for eight kilometers at the Interregional Border Battle hosted by Rowan University. The senior, who picked up his third career weekly honor, was the top NJAC finisher in the race.

The Stockton volleyball team (15-6, 5-1 NJAC) is on an eight-match winning streak and will face some tough competition this week. The Ospreys will take on William Paterson on the road on Tuesday before facing #8 NYU, #12 Wesleyan University and Stevens in the Stevens Invitational over the weekend.

The Stockton cross country teams will take the next two weeks to prepare for the NJAC Championships, which will take place at The College of New Jersey on October 29.
