Clifton Theater League to Hold Auditions For Halloween Dinner Theater Musical

The Theater League of Clifton will hold auditions for its Halloween dinner/theater musical production of “Witches and Warlocks” on Sept. 6 and 7, 7-9 p.m., at the Clifton Elks Lodge, 775 Clifton Ave. (at the corner of Colfax Avenue), Clifton. Call backs are slated for Sept. 7, 9-10 p.m., if necessary.

The cast will feature eight young women, four mature women and eight men. All parts will require actors to sing and perform theatrical stage movements. Those auditioning should be prepared to sing a Broadway show tune or a 1980s pop song. Visit the Theater League of Clifton online for additional information.

Performances will be held at the Clifton Elks Lodge on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 7:30m., and Sunday, Oct. 30, at 2 p.m.  

Randy Accardi is the playwright, director and choreographer for the production, a factual musical based on the afflicted and accursed in 1692 Salem, MA, told through verse and song. Accardi has been active in northern New Jersey community theater groups for over 25 years. Jalmari Vanamo and John Traier, members of the Theater League of Clifton’s executive board, will serve as co-producers of the show.

Founded in 2005, the Theater League of Clifton is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering an appreciation of the arts through theatrical performances, while providing quality entertainment for all ages.
