Clifton Ghost Hawk Brewing Produces Exclusive Ale for Meadowlands Racetrack
In celebration of the 97th edition of America’s greatest harness racing event, the Hambletonian Society, Meadowlands Racetrack and Ghost Hawk Brewing Company in Clifton have teamed up to provide fans and guests with Trotter’s Gold 2022.
The $1 million Hambletonian will be raced Saturday afternoon, Aug. 6 as the finale to the championship meet at the Meadowlands Racetrack. Post time is 12 noon.
Labeled “Trotters Gold 2022”, the Clifton, NJ based brewery, Ghost Hawk Brewing, has produced a 4.5% abv golden ale.
It will be sold at the Meadowlands Racetrack starting Friday, July 15th and at Ghost Hawk Brewing. The beer can be rated here.
The 16oz beer can label features 2021 Hambletonian winner Captain Corey.
“Last year’s beer was such a hit that we had to have Ghost Hawk brew another vintage for 2022,” said Rachel Ryan, Director of Marketing and Onsite Events. “This year’s beer is refreshingly crisp, perfect for a day at the track.”
Ghost Hawk Brewing Company is a collaborative effort between two Clifton natives – Tom Rachelski and Steve Bauer. Fueled with the addition of decorated Brewmaster Chris Sheehan to the project in 2018, the brewery project kicked into high gear. Ghost Hawk Brewing Company opened its doors in April of 2019. Ghost Hawk shared that Trotter’s Gold is a crisp, refreshing Golden Ale brewed with 2-row, dextrin and carahell malts and hopped with Simcoe.
The cans will be available exclusively at the Meadowlands Racetrack… but Ghost Hawk will also have a few kegs for their tap room.
